Women's health needs can change throughout different stages of life. GPS Pharmacy works with patients and their healthcare providers to prepare prescription medications in customized strengths, dosage forms and ingredient combinations when a commercially available medication does not appropriately meet the patient's needs.
Compounding may give a prescriber additional flexibility when addressing areas such as hormone therapy, menopause-related care, vaginal health, thyroid support and other individualized treatment needs. Depending on the prescription, formulations may be prepared as capsules, creams, gels, troches, suppositories or other appropriate dosage forms.
Every compounded prescription begins with an authorized prescriber. Our pharmacists review the prescription, prepare the medication for the individual patient and are available to answer questions about proper use, storage and refills.
GPS Pharmacy is a state-licensed compounding pharmacy that compounds patient-specific prescriptions in accordance with applicable Section 503A requirements. Our pharmacy follows applicable USP compounding standards. As a PCCA member pharmacy, we obtain pharmaceutical ingredients from qualified suppliers appropriate for pharmaceutical compounding.
